We will call this mission the "Jason and John Show." Without going into all the details, this is a bit of a strange one. We were called for a possible missing 69 year old male fisherman and 3 llamas. This is where the story gets weird, and just keep in mind that these 2 men had just met hours earlier for the first time. Jason left his 3 llamas and John as he went to go look for Lake Albert, and when he returned he could not find John or the 3 llamas. Concerned that we might have a 69 year old subject out in the wildness somewhere it was decided that we at least go look. Jason had told us that John rode a motorcycle and that he stashed it in the bushes. When the team arrived the entire area was searched for the motorcycle and it was never located. The group was split into two teams with one going up the well defined Continental Divide trail and the other taking the RP (Jason) on the trail in the direction he felt was how the two men and llamas had gone in earlier. Team 1 was successful in finding the 3 llamas and left them with their owner and Jason to continue on his way to Lake Albert. Neither team ever came across our "so called" missing 69 year old fisherman. We concluded the mission a total success because we found the 3 lost llamas that didn't deserve to be left alone in the dark up in the wildness tied to a tree with bears and mountain lions around. As for John our missing fisherman, it was concluded in one of two ways:
  1. There was no John in the first place and Jason just needed our help to find his 3 llamas, or
  2. There was a John and he got tired of waiting for Jason to return and left the llamas and came back to the parking area and got on his motorcycle and went home and was watching the football game and drinking a cold one.
We will leave it up to you to decide.
